Introduction

Welcome to our Moderation Team applications.

If you’ve taken an interest in reading this (or just to see what our requirements are), we appreciate your time to read our guidelines and requirements for submitting your application. We want the best of the best to moderate our community and ensure it’s a safe and enjoyable place for everyone!

To start, we have some requirements before you can submit your application. Please look through these requirements and ensure you meet all of the requirements, as otherwise your application will not be accepted.

Requirements

To apply, the following requirements must be met:

  • You must be at least 15 years of age.

  • You must be fluent in English.

  • Your Discord account must have 2FA enabled and remain active.

    • Our server requires you to enable this to do any moderative action. Please ensure you do this before your application is accepted.

  • You must have at least 24 hours of server activity.

    • There is a 21-day exemption period from the release of the server (Aug 8th - Aug 29th)

  • A working microphone that you can be heard clearly from.

  • Ability to screenshot, record, or otherwise capture evidence of the infractions.

  • You must have ALL of the following:

    • Not been blacklisted on our server previously;

    • No bans related to cheating, exploiting, abuse of glitches, illegal client modifications, duping, or any other method, use, or abuse thereof that grants a player an advantage over another within 90 days; and

    • No infractions of any type within the past 30 days, warning excluded.

As a reminder, if you do not meet any of these requirements in their entirety, your application will be automatically denied.

Creating Your Application

To start your application, you’ll need to craft it yourself. We don’t want to give you a template of questions and scenarios to just answer; we want you to put effort into creating it. Not only does this show dedication to “prettify” your application, but it also allows you to express your personality to us. The best comparison we can make is making a resume, except we’re not at all serious (we’re very silly), so if you want to add your special touches and cutesy details, we encourage you to do so!

However, we do ask that you plainly make the details of your application very clear, and at least answer the required questions that are below. If you forget or miss it, don’t worry too much about it. We’ll contact you about your missing fields, and you’ll have some time to edit your application or tell us when we do.

The aforementioned questions are the following:

  • Your Minecraft username

  • Your Discord username

  • Your current age and date of birth

  • Your current timezone

  • Your typical availability (within timezone)

  • Multilingual [Y/N] (If yes, please provide the languages)

The following questions are long-typed questions that we ask you to answer with as much detail as you can think of. For questions that pertain to you executing moderation activities, answer these questions with the mindset of already being a staff member on our server.

These questions are:

  • Do you have any previous moderation experience?  If so, where and what did you do? If not, please tell us why you think you’d be a good candidate.

  • What could you bring to our team that others cannot?

  • How could you determine whether or not a player is cheating (using illegal client mods)?

  • What would you like to accomplish by joining the team?

Following the acceptance of your application, we will interview you to ask you some additional questions. These questions pertain more to specific scenarios that you might encounter on a day-to-day basis. If you have any other details, questions, comments, or concerns, please outline them within your application; otherwise, please mention them during your interview.

PLEASE NOTE: We will not review your application if you’ve asked someone within the staff team to review your application earlier than those before you. We will review your application when we deem it appropriate, and we’ll contact you by means of Discord or our very own forums. If you do ask anyway, we will automatically delete your application and prevent you from applying for 30 days.
